Gainesville’s Bar Louie Closes After Shooting Incident

Gainesville, VA – A longtime gathering spot at Virginia Gateway has shut down following a shooting that rattled the community and raised new questions about safety in nightlife venues.

 

The Incident

Police say the violence began inside Bar Louie at 14081 Promenade Commons Street when a 17-year-old from Bristow got into an argument with a 26-year-old man. During the dispute, the teen allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the man in the lower body.

Both individuals left the restaurant immediately after. The 26-year-old was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, while the teenager later appeared at another hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg — which police…
